More than a likeness
A photograph freezes a moment. A painting captures a soul. When I paint your pet, I'm not just copying a photo — I'm looking for the tilt of the head, the softness in the eyes, the particular way they hold themselves that makes them unmistakably yours.
My approach is loose and confident, built on years of plein air painting. The same sensitivity to light and atmosphere I bring to a landscape goes into every portrait. The result is something alive — not stiff, not overworked.
How it works
The commission process
Send your photos
Share 3–5 clear reference photos of your pet — ideally in natural light, showing their face and personality. The more I have to work from, the better.
We discuss the painting
I'll reach out to talk through size, framing, background, and any details that matter to you. This is where we make sure the painting will feel right in your home.
Deposit & start
A 50% deposit secures your spot in my commission queue. I'll send a progress photo once the painting is underway so you can see it taking shape.
Delivery
Once complete and approved, I'll ship the finished painting carefully packaged, ready to hang. The remaining balance is due before shipping.
